 OUR MISSION

To deliver the best fit, so you can perform at your best.

The Control Room Bootfitting has developed a comprehensive, multi-faceted approach that recognizes the critical role the ski boot /skier interface plays in the achievement of high-performance skiing.

Meet Erin

Erin Keam has been professionally fitting boots, bikes and managing retail locations for the last 21 years. This experience saw him working hands-on with products from Superfeet, Sidas, Comformable and The Soze Group, honing his skills and developing concepts and programs to optimize fit and maximize performance. Erin has worked in R&D with Salomon and Atomic boots as an on-snow tester and his involvement in the industry has allowed him to personally meet with many boot designers, helping to develop and create some of the ski boots you see on the market today.

His Career

In addition to his retail experience, Erin has been teaching and coaching for over 28 years. He is a Level 4 CSIA Ski Instructor, Level 3 Course Conductor and Level 2 CSCF Coach. He is also a Level 2 CASI Snowboard Instructor. Erin has worked in Canada, New Zealand and China. He is an active course conductor for the Canadian Ski Instructors Alliance and works as a Trainer for the Whistler Blackcomb Snow School.

Erin has also completed the Specialized Bikes Body Geometry bike fitting course, an intensive bike fitting and athlete performance designed course.

Why The Control Room?

Erin recognized a need to improve the entire bootfitting process. Traditionally, fitting ski boots was based on fixing problems as they presented themselves and not investigating why the issue might exist in the first place. Many times there was a disconnect between the fitting issues and the performance of the skier. These factors led to the creation of the The Control Room Bootfitting and an approach encompassing Erin’s 21 years of bootfitting experience and his 28 years of instruction and coaching.

The Control Room Bootfitting process begins with an in-depth analysis of the foot; measurements, past trauma, structure and functionality to ensure the interface between the boot, leg and ski boot is as precise as possible. Our process is designed to fit the ski boot to access its full potential, helping the skier to achieve higher level of performance. We accomplish this through diagnoses, video analysis and performance assessment, collecting all the data necessary to deliver a superior fit. This attention to detail is what sets us apart, guaranteeing to improve on-hill performance. The Control Room works with instructors, coaches, athletes or anyone who wants to take their skiing to the next level.
